In addition, in Nuevo Mexico more than 90% of the population speaks English, that is, there are more Spanish speakers in Florida than in Nuevo Mexico.
Because there were more speakers of the language in the former than the latter at the moment the US took over. Like in the case of Texas, the Spanish government invited lots of Anglos to settle and colonize Florida during the Bourbon era, which was complicated by the 20 year period the colony was under actual British administration (from the end of the seven years war (1763) to the end of the war of American independence (1783), after which it reverted back to Spain again). The end of Spanish rule was punctuated by lots of annexationist rebellions on the part of said Anglo colonists, which sought to be incorporated to the US by force of arms, aided also by "Patriot" incursions from nearby Georgia during the war of 1812.

They should only speak English since the USA was founded as an anglo country with English as only language.
You are mistaking the creation of USA with that of the Thirteen colonies. Spanish was the FIRST European language in Florida, Texas, California etc, so it is not useful for me to say "English should be the only language because Anglos founded USA" since Anglos did not found Florida, man

New Mexico has always been at least 40% or so Hispanic, and had Hispanic governors and congressmen almost continuously across its history.

Florida's colonial Spanish population was very small, and largely absorbed into the white settler population after the U.S. purchase. Most Spanish use in Florida is a consequence of later immigration.

Also, I think most people are surprised that Florida has a much lower percentage of Hispanics than Texas, California, or even Arizona. But Latin Americans have much more clout in Florida politics, because it a fundamentally different group of Latin American immigrants overall.

The first "Hispanic " senator of New Mexico and the USA was born in Chihuahua,Mexico.

Octaviano Ambrosio Larrazolo (December 7, 1859 – April 7, 1930) was a Republican politician who served as the fourth governor of New Mexico and a United States senator. He was the first Mexican-American and first Hispanic United States Senator. He was New Mexico's first Latino Senator and governor.

Larrazolo was born in Valle de Allende in Chihuahua, Mexico, on December 7, 1859,

Wrong. It's just a swing state and it's becaming more a Republican lean state so the suppose clout will be gone. Once Texas becames a swing state ,Texas will became the most important large swing state and Mexican-Americans from Texas will became a huge factor in the electoral college.

California Mexican-Americans make up around 40% of California's Democratic elected state senators and assembly members and bascially vote as a voting block. Nothing gets done in California without the Mexican-American elected officials voting block.
California is a million times more important than Florida.
