I don't believe it is, even if ENF were hairy. Here's why:

The diversity of color gradients in the map posted above is the same in Scandinavia as it is in Saudi Arabia, and the Levant. Both have large amounts of black, red and purple, which shows there's a lot of hairy people in those regions.

Yet, among West Eurasians, Scandinavians have the lowest ENF ancestry. Arabs in Arabia and the Levant have the highest ENF ancestry.

And look at Northern Japan/Sakhalin. They have the same color gradient diversity as Arabia and Scandinavia. But, no ENF ancestry.

What is the common denominator among all of these people? Haplogroups connected to paleolithic Eurasians. The most common Y-DNA haplogroup among Arabs is E1, which is related to the Japanese/Ainu haplogroup D. The Japanese also have haplogroup C1, an ancient Eurasian haplogroup, which was found in Cro Magnons.

North Africans also have a lot mtDNA haplogroup U and V, which are common in Scandinavia. This could indicate higher x-chromosomal ancestry from ancient paleolithic Eurasians. The Y-DNA haplogroup I, phylogenetically, a very ancient Eurasian haplogroup, now concentrated in Scandinavia.

My money would be on Eurasian paleolithic sex chromosomal ancestry + higher levels of lutenizing hormone in carriers of these truly primordial haplogroups. The body hair thing likely predates the ENF by tens of thousands of years.

    Interesting analyzation.
