The issue with China is that they simply ""fix"" stuff using the most crude and efficient way possible and never really think twice about if its right, wrong, evil etc. They see Islamism in Turkestan -> Education camps. They see too high birth rates -> sterilization. They really skipped the enlightenment

I think it's a shame China's getting away with this. I sympathise with the Uighurs here. It can help us Westerners, though. Minorities know that our society is the most welcoming and tolerant. And the longer our society exists the more they behave like law-abiding citizens.

This is seen as naive here, but it's how I see it. It's the route we have to take at least and try to make work. About immigration even descendants of non-European immigrants are able to be against it, by the way.

Even as a Belgian in the Netherlands I tend to clash from time to time with the ethically Protestant-based society they have. But it's still a society that keeps to amaze me and that makes me respect the country.

People blame China on this but don't protest Indians for eliminating Muslim Kashmiris, or even less when Jews seize Palestinian lands. Do they really care about Uighurs or is all noise to mobilize the Muslims and the Turks against China which is every other day stronger in global politics? Good luck for Uighurs and Tibetans though, it is not easy to face China. Good luck for Hong Kong Chinese who seem to feel being British.

That politically correct staff doesn't exist in China to supervize their politicians and their politics. I don't know why the great comunist party doesn't settle some millions of han chinese there to solve this issue. Jusy do what Mao did with the tibetans: outnumber them by moving some han chinese there. It really makes me sad, once I met an Uyghur student, they look at Hungarians as their brothers and sisters they seem to be nice people. But I don't blame the Chinese people, personally I don't dislike a nation, but the regime itself which is really though especially in the countryside according to many reports and videos I've seen about it. Of course I only know as much as I see / read on the internet.
