I know quite a few Caucasoids with curly hair,
however all of them have big curls, and their texture is moist.
i have only 4.81% SSA according to gedrosia k3, and yet, my hair is very dry, in all other calculators the estimation is even less, around ~2.4%.
since there is very wide range of hair texture, it seems that hair texture affected by many many genes, yet my hair texture is the closest to negroid hair as much as it can be.
my mother has wavy moist hair, and she is from Eastern Jewish background(Libyan Jewish), although her father(my grandfather of course) have frizzy hair like me, he also look heavily Arab.
my father is Ashkneazi, weirdly enough, his hair texture is almost identical to mine, maybe slightly less dry, or slightly bigger curls, but overall the same texture, because of that, some believed he is Mizrahi, because his type of hair is extremely rare among Ashkenazim, it's not even like the typical Jewfro hair texture, it's more dry.
and i'm 50% Ashkenazi according to ftdna and 23andme, so there is no doubt in my mind, that he is my biological father.
As i see it, there are not great phenotypical diversity among different races of humans.
the only obvious markers that distinguish African from Nigeria to Hungarian for example, is pigmentation, hair texture, lips and nose.
if we compare Horner to European, then nose and lips went down, and only hair texture and pigmentation left. if we compare Horner to Indian, then pigmentation also went down,East Asians have the same wide and flat nose as west Africans have, and khosians\Bushmen have the same narrow eyes East Asians have, so eventually, only hair texture separate Africans from non Africans, Although Papuans and Onge have the same hair texture as Africans, so, apparently, there is not a single phenotype which is unique to Africans, but hair is still the best marker.
I didn't include MENA, because many of these groups have significant SSA admixture.
is it possible that i have only less than 5% ssa? because even most quadroons i saw, have wavy-straight hair.
