    Creo que hace unos 3 años que comencé a apreciar el idioma. Durante mucho tiempo tuve un rechazo al idioma. Tengo varios amigos que piensan esto hasta el día de hoy. Y es interesante toda esta gente en Brasil que estudia el español, pero tiene sentido porque la mayoría de nuestros vecinos hablan español, mercosur y etc.

    Mi interés por el español comenzo cuando me hice amigo de gente desde Perú, Argentina, México, Colombia...

    Muy bien que hayas dado ése paso!! A mí me interesa muchísimo el portugués! Después de aprender un poco más el inglés, empezaré a estudiar su idioma!

    Noticia del año 2015 por lo que no es reciente. En cualquier caso el castellano o español es primera lengua en Puerto Rico de facto desde siempre, porque es la que hablan el 90% como primera lengua, es en la que utilizan todos los medios de comunicación de Puerto Rico, es la que se estudia como lengua vehicular en la gran mayoría de las escuelas y además probablemente buena parte de la población de Puerto Rico tenga un nivel de inglés similar al de un español promedio. De hecho es algo de lo que se quejan con total razón los yankees más conservadores, porque muchos puertorriqueños quieren ser estado de los EEUU y sin embargo su nivel de inglés es de risa. La actual gobernadora es del partido anexionista, y sin embargo necesita un interprete para comunicarse con las autoridades estadounidenses porque su nivel de inglés no es lo suficientemente bueno como para entablar una conversación minimamente fluida.
