There will likely be a lot of deaths that the Chinese media won't tell you about and China will have to increase their national debt buying food from abroad.. and this is a chance for America to blockade the South and East China Seas and cozy up to Russia. Hunger always makes people rebel and the CCP's survival literally depends on being able to feed the population AND give them economic progress. Without either one of the two, there is revolution and civil war. America should seize that moment.
Wake up and smell the coffee.

It's not even remotely simple as that. Yes, the whole lockdown made the American economy to suffer like what happened in the great depression where over 30% of the US economy got contracted. But it's not solely an American phenomenon but rather it's global including China as well. China is suffering massive water supply shortage for it's 1.4 billion populace, and using polluted soil and water for your crops isn't going to create any healthy vegetation to feed this many people. If anything, they'll resort to buying their food from outside the country like in the case with North Korea for example. India and China are the world's largest polluters in the world, and there's a good reason for that; population size and negligence from the government. Modi for example doesn't give two shits about pollution, sanitation and overall economic problems in his country, and he scapegoats Muslims all the time to keep himself in power through religious sectarianism and nationalism. Same with the CCP as well.
