I don't exactly know what you mean, but the U.K., specially cities like London, are full of non-euro immigrants (also european but they are close to the brits), and you can see the normality in the TV, by movies, series, and also the social-medias. Of course (depending the ethnicity) they don't adapt or made it good in the U.K., but this is one of the most extreme cases of Europe. Barcelona is the most extreme case in Spain (Madrid is very close to it).

Arab/Muslims are not integrated in Western Europe and the fact that there are individuals that don’t cause problems, that are discreet, that don’t show off provocatively, doesn’t change anything to that. In fact, these individuals are irrelevant, they will not shape the course of history. Christian blacks are in general better integrated, for ex. those from Congo, as we share some common principles. But because of movements such as BLM, a significant part is becoming really annoying.

I see two main traditions/projects regarding foreigners in Western Europe: multiculturalism and assimilation. Britain made the choice of multiculturalism, exacerbating communitarianism (leading to the profusion of burkas, of Islamic courts, etc.), while France, for ex., made the choice of assimilation, which worked for several populations (ex. Italians, Poles, Vietnamese, etc.), but not for African/Arab/Muslim populations, because we hardly have any common ground and because at a certain point, quantity becomes a quality, as some famous dialecticians claimed… The impossibility of assimilation was quickly acknowledged, and that’s why this term was abandoned and even became scandalous, as no one should be asked to change anything, to “put aside a part of their heritage”. As the word fell in disgrace, it was replaced by “integration”, as it has a softer connotation, demanding less effort from immigrants. But with the demographic rise of the populations in question, communitarianism developped and even “integration” became impossible. That’s why the trendy word is now “inclusion”, refering just to the fact these foreign populations are present on a given territory.

Furthermore, it is native Europeans that are enjoined to adapt to the newcomers.

As the OP evokes France in particular, I want to conclude saying that the situation of this country is now terrible, as there’s a real phenomenon of lebanonisation.
