Should I grow my hair out or stay short?

I've just found recently a photo from probably 5 years before when I had medium haircut, since then I only have short hair.
It's a bit hard to compare also because the age difference and now I can grow a beard.
Anyways which looks better on me?
The medium hair is a bit hard to see since it's in dark, but what can I do.

I'm considering medium haircut but also something like Tom Cruise in current avatar, but that would take atleast 8-9 months, we have the same hair texture. Probably the classic would be the best.

I try to keep my beard around 8mm, it's not that dense and in Europe we don't grow long beards that much.

Slavic guide? XD In Slavic countries everyone has short hair like I have on first picture, like buzz cut everywhere, in 80s/90s it was complete difference. And to beard nah, I like to keep it, I look to young without it, you don't like it because it's ginger? XD

No. It is too common. Clean look suits you better.
