Lol, of course not
Some got their hopes up for sure, while most are naturally indifferent. And after a few days and entertaining threads it's forgotten about.
I've noticed people declaring this, almost like a threat when things don't go the way they want or whatever. But, why not just leave in without attempts at a dramatic exit? Simply log out in silence and move on. There is more dignity attached to that.
Or if You feel an urge why not just tell members You bonded with by PM who might actually care, at least for a while.
To me it gives vibes of megalomaniac tendencies of users ranking themselves so highly they think people will grab at their ankles begging them to stay. In other words, high class narcissism.
It reminds me of this picture which in the same way applies to forum members:
Yes, You are but a speck in this entertaining forum universe. People come and go but the show goes on.
