Greece launches €8 billion megaproject with Hellinikon Metropolitan Park.

The park will be >400 hectares big (>2 million square metres) That will make it much bigger than either Hyde Park in London or Central Park in NYC. Also, the works include the building of 6 skyscrapers and a casino complex.

The work has been undertaken mainly by Lamda Development, a Greek construction company and an UAE company for the casino.

It will create 80,000 jobs, 10,000 of which just from building the park.
