The Europeans and Americans crying about Hagia Sophia are not the same as the Europeans and Americans inviting Turks and Syrians to colonize Europe. Do you think any user on this forum that doesn't want Hagia Sophia in Turkish hands is pro-Erdogan/refugee? People here generally tend to have a different mindset to the politicians running their country.

Erdogan had long since lost his sense of reality and he imagines that Turkey is a world superpower that can ignore the opinions of real true world superpowers and do whatever it pleases.

But Turkey is clearly not a world superpower and the coming awareness of this fact will be very painful for Turks.

I'm referring exclusively to the hypocrisy of European and american politicians. And anyway 'the people' you're referring to are represented by the politicians they're voting for.

It's an idle threat. He made the same threat years ago and nothing happened.

Yup, only %30,3 now. That really explains why he's so aggressive recently. But how long can you keep this? Remember: He lost top 3 cities in the last regional elections.

The only good thing on this chart is that Hdpkaka would not move in parliament. All parties should get dammed for doing nothing against that shit. Neither government, nor opposition nor anyone else.

Hagia Sofia is a Christian cultural heritage. There is an active 16th century mosque in the center of Sofia, Bulgaria and we don't have any plans to make it a church, because that would be very disrespectful to Muslim people.

If Erdogan wants to flex Muslim power he can build a giant mosque near Hagia Sofia. Not turn an important historical church into a mosque... I'm starting to worry about the direction Turkey is heading. First Erdogan setting aside 6 million dollars to build a mosque in Kardzhali, Bulgaria. Now this... I don't dislike Turkish people and I want to live in peace with them. Neo-Ottoman empire will not happen though.

There wont emerge a new ottoman empire, Turks never would go in war for deserts anywhere in Middle East. Turks have to deal with many other issues before they can dream about old good days. Why everybody are afraid about that, instead if Greece and Armenia, Turks really don’t interested in conflicts and nobody must be afraid.
