I know that’s why i said it’s hard for me to believe that a russian would only get 165 variants or 4% of 23andme customers. You’re right the covid19 associated risk ones on chr 3 i listed the paper says peek in Indians That’s why I was quick to check mine and some of my relatives data because for some odd reason we kurds often carry the same allelles as S Asians but it seems like none of the companies test for those snps so i can’t see them

This paper and other papers also found an association between COVID-19 and Alleles on chromosome 9. Those alleles are associated with blood group but the risk increase due to those is not as high as the ones on chromosome 3 according to the paper. So blood O+ seems to lower risk and A and B have higher risk. I’m B+ which is kind of rare everywhere except as luck would have it in China and India where it’s common. That’s why whenever i see Indians and Chinese have a higher than normal risk allele i check my family since it seems my family has inherited the bad stuff from Indians and chinese lol

Another bad one my family got from china is a SNP that raises stroke chances. That SNP worldide is 0-1% but china has 40%

    What did you check?

Obviously from older FamilytreeDna's data. I have combined all sources I have, so I can't say it just now. Also, you see that there is a strong LD between this haplotype and probably with several SNPs. So studying LD impacts would be fruitful. Very likely I have not this risk haplotype.

I have also my imputed data based on 23andme data, made by Reich Lab in an older project, and also this shows ancestral Homo Sapiens alleles.

We have also a strong Finnish data in 1000genomes, obviously including this Neanderthal haplotype. This is the first time I regret that I didn't partake in this project, but I was cautious of the possibility to come revealed in other projects and didn't join.

Because on the V5 chip even kurds get more than 67% of 23andme customers out of 7400 Neanderthal variance tested so I would think that Russians should get even more than that

On V4 chip 23andme was only testing 2800 Neanderthal variants but even then Kurds were getting 270 variants
We are Scythian, but I am outlier I get 25% Natufian in ancient runs
