Croatia’s ruling conservatives win parliament vote

Incumbent Prime Minister Andrej Plenković claims victory, but will need to form a coalition to govern.

The ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) is set to increase its seats in parliament after coming out on top in Sunday's election, riding high on promises to get the country back on its feet after the coronavirus crisis.

Figures from the central election commission showed HDZ on track to win 68 out of the 151 seats in the parliament according to 87 percent of processed results — 13 seats more than its current 55. But it would still need to form a coalition to reach the 76 seats needed to govern.

Andrej Plenković is Eurofederalist, lapdog of Merkel & Macron. He pushed HDZ very much into political centre and even left. For example he pushed implementation of Istanbul and Marakesh conventions, supported cultural marxist educational reform...And now he will form rulling majority with representatives of national minorities (chiefly Serbs) plus two centre liberal PMs. Right wing, sovereignist opposition won almost 30 mandates combined, but they are not acceptable partners for HDZ.

Lot of old people vote for this party due to our first president who founded it and secured Croatia's indipendence, but modern HDZ has little to do with it. They are typical globalist puppets. Also extremely corrupted party.

Forgot to say HDZ want to ditch our national currency for EURO, despite countries that opted for EURO have much more limited fiscal sovereignty and slower growth rates.
