Mortimers AncestryDNA Results went online yesterday

Does this mean every Croatian, Bosnian, North Italian is Gypsy? You claim you are 60% Gypsy but they give you only fraction of that %, did those alleles go into Russia and Eastern Europe? What happened, just trying understand their system..

I believe that gypsies themselfes have a percent of european in them. That they are mixed. Maybe like 20-30% European. Add that to my 40% actual European though and you get my percent. Gypsies started 1000 AD their journey from india to balkan and europe, and I have all the migration route in my DNA. Thats how it seems to me, I dont know whether that is correct because some believe that gypsies are pure indians because they look like that to them. And yes I am 60% gypsy.

What kind of SNP count are you getting on Eurogenes with the Ancestry data?

How does your Eurogenes K13 compare between your 23andMe data and your Ancestry data?

I see. I think if you combine the genetics of East Balkan, Pannonia, Pontic Caspian Steppe there is degree of Scythian admixture and Brahmins of India also have Scythian admixture so in your phenotype you will look more like Indian. With that being said, I still think people underestimate that Gypsys have left their genetic in various European populations over the centuries but it got watered down thru intermixing

I didnt downloaded my ancestrydna raw data because Im on gedmatch with 23andMe and I thought that is not neccessary or will be a drastic difference, so I didnt do that. Maybe I should?

I see. LivingDNA splits the balkan though in agean (greek), and east and westbalkan. And it looks I dont have recent ancestry from Greece but it meets in serbia (half of serbia is east balkan and the other half westbalkan)

Right, the Eastern European categories between the two companies are like comparing apples and oranges, still Ancestry gave you a ton of Greek and Balkan category + a lot of Eastern European.

Interesting report from LivingDNA, it seems that result is inline with what Ancestry is estimating for you -- a heavier European mix.

True. Im more European on AncestryDNA and LivingDNA. I dont know which is correct.
