I’m actually under the impression that Brazil managed to stay together because they managed to kill off they’re Amerindian population, were the only Portuguese settlers in the entire continent and had to stick together, the east coast of Brazil is manageable to travel in comparison to Hispanic America which is more far apart and half of they’re modern population is either whiteish or mixed. It’s kinda the reason why the Hispanic Caribbean and the Southern Cone is so tight knit while the Mestizo countries are so hostile to eachother. The main components are European and African ancestry especially the Portuguese one, they have a main unifier for the entire nation.

I think we can group countries or regions that are alike, in the case of Uruguay it would be the pampean region of Argentina and southern Brazil. And same applies to other countries. I think LA is too big and rich to say it all looks like the same thing.
    Mexico
    Central America
    Hispanic Caribbean
    Andean states
    Southern Cone

Are all part of Hispanic America, they’re just sub groups of the region, wtf are you talking about ?

No reason to include Paraguay in the southern cone. It’s not culturally or economically related. I’d include Chile and southern Brazil instead.

Well Paraguay is certainly not Andean as some people awkwardly associate it with. I thought the southern cone was Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Paraguay and southern Brazil

We share inherent things because of the Iberian colonizers, natives and so on. Catholicism is the homogeneous cultural trait that we have in common. It is one of the moral pillars of Hispanic and Lusophone society. In addition, and at some point in history the USA fucked your country. You can suffer by a terrible dictator, but at least you are not a communist. hahaha

But in general, the entire American continent had the same origin. the Europeans decimated and founded societies on this continent. And almost all the peoples of the planet came here. Africans, Europeans, Asians...

Of course, each country has its nuances. A person wanting to understand it would realize it.

And every Brazilian at some point has already had to say that they don't speak Spanish. haha Even because the Hispanics shaped a part of the culture of the USA while the Lusophones did not have much impact on the culture of the Muricans and the expansion of American imperialism only strengthened this over the decades. Because everyone thinks that from Mexico down everyone speaks Spanish.

For its size (population and land area) it is the most homogenous place in the world after China.
