I just found out last night that an acquaintance of mine from Mexico was murdered. She had been a fitness instructor and had been dealing 'diet pills' (amphetamines). Two masked, armed gun-men entered her apartment, shot her in the head, and kidnapped her girlfriend. I was on FB, I thought 'I haven't seen any posts from ******* in a while, I checked her page, and I saw that her page had been converted into a memorial. People were writing all these condolences in Spanish. At first I thought it was a suicide, but through some Google research, I found an article about the killing. I was so sick last night, I almost vomited. I am in disbelief that something like that could happen to someone I know.

I think this have to do with narcos (That was my impression when I read it)....Because If you enter to the narco (even if you just buy them some things) you cannot escape, there no are exit, man...They don't play around

Yeah agree with Helloguys, it definitely had to do something with drugs, they just don't go into your house and shoot you in your head, she probably sold stuff in their area, wrong choice girl, rest in peace.

She was from Chihuahua and I read that Ciudad Juarez is notorious for feminicidio (sexist killings of women). Wouldn't she have known not to sell drugs in gang territory without paying "protection money" ? I hear a lot of these guys are jealous of women for making money. Have you heard of the maquiladora murders? She owned her own business.

Even if she paid protection money there are independent gangs who make a living off robbing drug dealers. The whole cartel thing isn't as organized as it was back in the early 2000's now its all splintered since the major cartels are always under assault and leaders are always coming and going. Even as far back as the 70's there have been kidnapping and robbery gangs who even go after Narcos, Cops etc. Mexico is a rough place Juarez is a continuously fucked up place, idk why she would wan't to live there in the first place. There is probably a lot more about her you don't know as well. It is true there is a lot of violence against women in Mexico especially the border area and near the factories, very sad but if she was involved in drugs she couldn't expect anything less.

She very well could have been involved with a gang, but she didn't really look like a gang banger. She actually looked mostly criolla and lived in a middle-class area, although who knows what that means in Mexico.

Gangs in Mexico aren't like the U.S they are a lot more subtle, but Kidnapping Gangs and Rip Off gangs look for people like her to rob, kill and or extort.

There was a man in the comments who said he knew her from Sinaloa (!) It just gets more confusing the more I look into it. Better to leave it alone, I think. It really is a shame. She had a daughter too.
