In my opinion, it is not proper to ask someone's ethnicity before getting intimate with that person. Do you agree or disagree?

Disagree, ethnicity is not a big deal in case of interpersonal relations. People who feel offended by such question usually just have complexes but it's not really a reason to be ashamed etc

Disagree, Some people are just interested to know. I take no offence when asked where i'm from by people I barely know

I think it's not inappropriate but it really depends on the person. Usually in Hungary people don't ask me where I'm from, in Turkey they asked my father if he was from Russia, even Russians started speaking to him in Russian.

In Sweden people asked me where I'm from. They thought I looked weirdo.

Russians speak with everyone Russian- no matter where.

I will surprise you, once in city I study in some tourists asked me for photo using broken English, they started speaking Russian only after I started speaking Russian(their accent is very easy to spot so I knew where were they from), but indeed it's hard to talk with Russians using English
