Polish proverbs

I previously started topic on Belgian proverbs. Now I want to hear Pollandian proverbs. Just to compare.

As today is Sunday I remember this one

"Myślał indyk o niedzieli a w sobotę łeb mu ścięli"

which literally means

"Turkey(a bird) was thinking about Sunday but he got cut head on Saturday"

In the old 1970s show Banacek, the main character would say at least one Polish proverb every episode.

Meaning: When you enter some kind of a social circle, you must adjust and behave as they do.

this is Spanish proverb I quite enjoy.
