It's based on 17 samples, so it could be slightly off, but not that much. From what I've seen there's a fair bit of individual variation in the Netherlands (probs from being a small country with lots of internal migration), some people in the South looking almost Nordic, some in the North looking South Dutch/British, and Central Dutch being allsorts.

I think your average is fine, Ayora roots are from east Friseland from what she told and she plots not far from Frisian dot (bit more south, but she's probably not fully Frisian)
Seems they are just north German like people, not Scandinavian like. But those are fine scale differences since both of these are fairly close in the end.

In the end the Anglo-Saxons that settled in Friesland probably did mix extensively with local Roman Frisians, from whom the Frisians got their ethnonym, since the early Anglo-Saxons seems to have been rather Norwegian-like. I also have no doubts that many late Anglo-Saxons from England with a lot of native British ancestry crossed the channel to settle in Magna Frisia, Frisian experts like Peter Schrijver even argues for a common Anglo-Saxon identity on both sides of the channel until the Frankish conquest of the Frisian kingdom.

I think it's possible, because I find Slovenians little lighter too. Slovenians don't have sub-populations like Transylvanian Hungarians for example, who are significantly more Balkan.
Hungarians have more southern ancestry historically - some assimilated Serbs, Romanians, Armenians, Jews here and there.

Croatians have been most southern people Slovenians mixed with in history and those Croats were north Croat like anyway so very similar to them.
It will change in future though as Slovenia has large ex-Yugoslav (Bosniak, Serb, Albanian) population that has been mixing with the natives.

But on the other hand Hungarians historically mixed with genetically more northern people than Slovenians ever did did like Slovaks.
It's hard to say, Hungarian sample size is much larger - yet I find new Slovenian average more realistic than older, more southern one (which contained few mixed south slav individuals), because in recent academic paper on Slovenians their selected samples came out even more northern than I expected.

Given how many of the Bavarians and Longobards looked very Scandinavian, even in places where Germanic people were surrounded by Roman provincials, i believe we can see this as the original pre-Völkerwanderung Germanic profile and the Saxons of the Early Middle Ages will not look any different. I see many possibilities to explain the southern-shift of modern-day North Germans, but the correct explanation is probably a combination of all of them and maybe more. One particularly important event in my view is the rise of the Otto der Große to the head of the Kingdom of Germany, which made the Duchy of Saxony one of the most powerful stem duchies of East Francia. Saxony continued as an important state of the Holy Roman Empire for centuries, with a robust economy that attracted many south Germans looking for a better life, particularly in the High Middle Ages when south German states were suffering from petty rivalries and overpopulation.

So, it seems my maternal grandpa(male lineage) has very little( almost absent) genetic influence on me, because I don’t get any Balkan(Greek, Bulgarian, Macedonian, Bosnian etc.).Might be something is untrue about my untold ancestral history or they have mixed with Turks and other west asian people in Ottoman times but no one mentioned it.
