Theological correspondence course
Do you want to reflect on your faith and the faith of the Church and understand what you believe - and what you doubt?

In the theological course a comprehensive examination of the Christian faith takes place: background knowledge - insight into contexts - justifiable standpoints.
You do not need any relevant previous knowledge to attend the course, nor do you have to belong to the Roman Catholic Church. You should bring along the willingness to get involved in the process of theological reflection and to take your time for it.

In autumn 2020, correspondence courses will start with study weekends in Burgenland and Upper Austria. Registration is possible from the beginning of June.

I signed and payed the entry fee. Mid November they start sending out the scripts. It is called "theology distance course" after you finish (it is 5 Semester) you can do some church jobs, but not priest. To be a priest you need a theology diploma from a catholic university. You can be Diakon though, or Pastoralassistent, or Seelsorger at a hospital.

Prüfungen
In allen Fächern sind Prüfungsgespräche vorgesehen: Sie gehören zum Kursgeschehen und sind eine Chance, sich mit den Inhalten intensiver auseinander zu setzen. Es steht Ihnen frei, dieses Angebot zu nutzen.


Kursabschluss
Wenn Sie alle Prüfungen abgelegt haben, erhalten Sie ein Zeugnis, das für einige kirchliche Ausbildungen anerkannt wird (Diakonat, PastoralassistentIn, JugendleiterIn, Krankenhausseelsorge).

They start sending out the scripts mid november and I already know that in July 2021 I will be one week in a study building in carinthia. You have two times eatch one week study presence. Where you are one week at a study building or house.
