North vs South Europeans : Say something nice about each other

There is no real reason for a north vs south divide. Or east vs west. I see it flaring up on this forum from time to time.

So, for a change say something nice that You appreciate from the other side, so to speak
Be it historical contributions, food, nature, places You want to visit, etc.

I'll start with Southern Europeans:

Thanks for laying important foundations in philosophy, science, literature and art that has benefitted the rest of us. Fact is the building bricks where laid by You darkies, and we reaped the benefits later on. Furthermore have provided a barrier against outside invasions carrying the bulk of the struggle.

As a "son of med sea" i love every civilization with good navy.And as you can understand i love the viking culture.I adore the aggression of the pirates-traders vikings.I love the curiosity that they had.
Moreover i loooove your nature.Your mountains are like a painting.When i was watching on netflix the serie vikings i was thinking that i want very much to travel to norway and to iceland.

I honestly don't have a strong affinity to northern european countries, the only country that really have my attention and i am very interested in know it some day, is Finland, more specifically the Lapland region.

Old Italian ladies love me, Southerners have good food, great art and although there are some ethnic enclaves; they usually integrate extremely well in America.
