Any of the coastal regions really, whenever I think of Portugal I wanna jump in the ocean and go swimming.
Those who want to live, let them fight, and those who do not want to fight in this world of eternal struggle do not deserve to live.

Even if this were hard--that is how it is ! Assuredly, however, by far the harder fate is that which strikes the man who thinks he can overcome Nature, but in the last analysis only mocks her. Distress, misfortune, and diseases are her answer.

Esses seriam a fronteira. Nem uma coisa nem outra.

Just remember that it's going to be cold. It's one of our downfalls for tourism.

Yea the Atlantic is pretty cold, I have done most my ocean swimming in the Pacific/Gulf Coast.

    All except Azores.

For the overall quality of life (except July and August), coastline/beaches and weather, the Algarve of course.

For gastronomy and architecture/patrimony possibly Minho, also nice green landscapes but for natural beauty Madeira without doubt, breathtaking landscapes everywhere.

Some micro regions are also very nice such as the Cascais-Sintra area, although most of the rest of the Lisbon metro area is a shithole. The Douro valley has stunning landscapes but it’s a bit too remote to live.

Actually here in the Algarve we are having 24+ of sea temperature and very warm nights (26/27+ degrees), it happens when it's influenced by the sueste winds and warm currents from the Mediterranean, we are having a lot of those this year. It doesn't happen all years but when it does the sea is temp is similar to the Mediterranean. In 2015 the avg sea temperature during the summer was 25.5, but that was an exceptional year, it happens perhaps once in a decade. Anyway in September and until middle October the sea temp is typically above 22/23, and more so the closer we get to the Spanish border...colder towards west.

I would prefer Atlantic Ocean beaches on any given day over Mediterranean beaches with rocks instead of sand, almost no waves and polluted waters even if the trade off is less warmer water.

Me neither, I was born in Ribatejo and grew up in Lisbon and surroundings but I don't particularly like those areas, infact I have some negative feelings about the latter, don't like the lifestyle and overall vibe/environment.

Wich regions did you vote for ?
