Like other Nordic groups such as the Swedes, the Danish community also settled in the province of Misiones, particularly in places like Oberá and Puerto Iguazú. These Danes generally arrived via Brazil and then went inland until they reached the triple border and that was where they transferred to Argentina.

Yes Tenma Brazil and Argentina had Nordic migrations (Scandinavia + Finand & Iceland). Actually Brazil has the largest Dane Community (including descendents) in Latin America. Make me proud, research and contribute with a 'Danes in Brazil' post. Only danes it ll be more threads about nordic nations left.

PS: NIce nickname big fan of SS/CDZ too.

About Danes, Brazil had 150.000 descendants, it the second largest after Norway immigrants.

    https://es.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pueblo_dan%C3%A9s

About Norway, its the most important group of scandinavians among brazilians. Brazil has the second largest number of Norwegian descendants along with Canada. Between 460.000 or half milion.

    https://es.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pueblo_noruego

About Swedens, they are not strong here, swedish people are way more important for Argentina, I dont know why they dont appear here at wikipedia numbers. Only 32.000 in Brazil and certainly many times more in Argentina.

    https://es.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pueblo_sueco

For example, Finns are also way more numerous than swedens here. Especially in Rio de Janeiro state, but at the end, finns integrated a lot and married with people outside their group. Around 90.000 people.

    https://pt.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finlandeses

Scandinavian brazilians as whole are around 1 milion descendants, imo they are very mixed with portugueses, germans, italians and east european brazilians.

    https://pt.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Escandinavo-brasileiro

Honorable mention to lithuanians that are not nordics okay. Some sources claim Brazil has the largest diaspora of them. Being as low as 200.000 to as high as 1 milion, they are common in Paraná but also exist in Săo Paulo and some states of the Central West like both Mato Grosso North and South and also Rondonia already in Northern region.

    Default HISTORY

    http://historicus-daniel.blogspot.co...neses.html?m=1
