Yeah, yeah. Countless cities and buildings have been destroyed by fires, floods, earthquakes or bombings of civilians in the past centuries: Rome, London, Lisbon, Hamburg, Chicago, Dresden...as for arsonists, they are as old as history, unfortunately. Never heard of Herostratus ?
Even the parts of Notre Dame that got destroyed last year, like the spire, were not from gothic times. They were designed by French architect Viollet-le-Duc after the cathedral burned down in 1847. He also renovated the walls of the medieval city of Carcassonne, the Palace of the Popes in Avignon, the cathedrals of Chartres, Strasbourg...and more.
You are very naive if you believe that there still are buildings and monuments in Europe that remained 100% unchanged since the Middle Ages.
No need to whine like a sissy about the death of the western civilization. The arsonist happens to be a weird African guy. But I doubt that your reaction would have been the same if the fire was caused by, let's say, an ethnic Norseman like Varg Vikernes. So much hypocrisy.
Sure. Churchgoers worship a Near-Eastern wog who died on a cross.
Absolutely no relationship with druids in Gaul who used to celebrate Midsummer with the lighting of devotional bonfires in honor of Belenus, the Celtic sun god.
