That's just my opinion though, I'm not an expert so take what I wrote with a pinch of salt. As I said I'm seeing only a very little non-germanic admixture.

What is his ancestry on paper?

Far as I know, 1/2 German (his father), 1/2 adoptee mother of likely Danish/Brit descent. Our last name is a common German surname with no regional specificity, and per one document my immigrant ancestor came from Mecklenburg. LivingDNA groups part of him as under "Northeast Germanic" which is probably a reflection of this. I just point that out cause i was somewhat impressed to see it pulled apart in that manner, and as just not "Polish" or something.
