    About nakedness in art.

    I don’t think I ever met any ‘pervs’ in the life drawing classes, and if there had been any juvenile men like that, they would soon have gotten over it since all the attention energy would go into figuring out the composition, the eye-hand coordination, into getting the perspective and the proportions, the texture right & the light & shade.
    In other words, actions of markings on paper, the treatment of positive and negative spaces so that in the end - be it a still life or drawing a figure – same difference really.





    Even when people think they cannot draw or paint, they really, really should imo.

    I don’t think Edvard Munch ever was a perv when he painted about the awkwardness of puberty:



    So it leaves the viewer to discern – just what did/does the artist want to convey through ‘nakedness’?
