    Default Western vs Eastern Turkey

What's the difference between Eastern and Western Turks phenotypically? From what I know, Western Turks look Mongoloid and Turkmen while Eastern Turks are Caucasoid.

Eastern Turks are Turkified locals identical to Armenians, Eastern Black sea turks included. Anatolian Turks have received mongoloid genetic contribution to varying degrees. Cappadocian Greeks are likely the best representatives of Anatolian people prior to Turkic invasions.

Western Turks don’t look mongoloid, and if you describe someone as caucasoid, you can mean many things. Also, eastern turkey has an non turkish majority(kurds). There are fwe Turks in Turkey who look fully ore predominantly turanid, most of them are Tatars or Yörük/Turkoman ancestry. Although i have a problem with the last point, i saw a lot of turanid turks who weren’t neither the first nor last.

No, eastern black sea Turks are just Lazes because of that they show nearly no east eurasian genetic input. Also it is wrong to say eastern turksare just turcified, yes they are heavily intermixed but still show 5-10% east eurasian admix.

Eastern Black Sea Turks are not Laz though. Eastern Black Sea Turks are identical to Pontians who are basically slightly northern shifted Armenians. Laz people are more Kartvelian-like in their genetic makeup relative to Trabzonians.

And where is Trabzon? Easter black sea. There are 4 cities in eastern black sea: Giresun, Trabzon , Rize and Artvin. First is Turkish(10-18% east eurasian, Chepni tribe), the other three are predominantly Laz wuth Georgian, Abkhaz and other Caucasians, even Chechens in my knowledge. There are nearly no to none genetic difference between Lazes and Pontians, because of that they most times cluster with Armenians.

They are related(Laz and Pontians) but to say that there are no genetic differences between them is very silly.

    Case in point:

    Do Armenians like mushrooms?
Azerbaijan reportedly announced that they might hit Armenia's USSR era leftover nuclear power plant in case Armenia dares again to kill Azerbaijani soldiers. If I were Armenian, I would rather care for that rather than thinking about who Trabzonians are.
