In the city of Salvador - capital city of Bahia state, there's a significant spanish cultural influence if we're talking about european cultural contribuition. The spanish immigrants founded several business there last century - such as sports associations (clubs (Clube Espanhol), football team (Galicia), several restaurants and so on).

A good amount of white citizens from Salvador have spanish blood influence. For example, despite not being from Salvador, but from Juazeiro (a city in the northern part of the state), Ivete Sangalo is probably the most known person EVER from bahia and her father was spanish.
