Neither. I like Life of Brian and some of their songs but I find Monty Python in general and Flying Circus a bit tiresome, and hasn't aged well.

As tv serie MP is certainly overrated. I feel that lot of their sketches don't even try to make you laugh or be proper comedy. Its more like a exercise on the absurd, a twisted and mutilated take on modernist poetry, ripped out of a book and slapped on your tv screen. It tries to be too highbrow, often to the point of pretentiousness. Best comedy is always lowbrow, and highbrow only works when masked as lowbrow; in this MP sometimes succeeds brilliantly, but most often just chooses to do "something completely different"
