How is unhealthy, tell me? Spain along Japan is the country in world with the highest expectancy of life and we have our great Mediterranean diet/food/dishes.

    I am curious.

I totally understand it. I'm just saying that eating late is not that healthy in my opinion.

In the evening most people are less active so we don't require large amounts of calories and carbohydrates for example. It puts more strain on the stomach and makes it harder for some people to sleep afterwards. Also, the unused carbohydrates are often stored in fat (on the stomach).

Of course it matters what you eat, if there are other factors then the life expectancy can be higher, this is only my opinion, in addition I agree with you.

That's really early. When I lived abroad, I shared a house with a Spanish girl and she would wake up in the middle of the night to fry fish.

That is early, dinner for me is more around 21:00/22:00.

It is actually kind of funny, a few nights ago I invited my neighbor across the street who moved here not too long ago from Germany to eat dinner/hangout at my house and they came at like 18:00 confused, thinking we eat dinner at that time like normal people, rude awakening I suppose, haha.

    More like 21:00

20:00 is too early, not even people in the anglosphere eat so early

I avoid eating that late because I don't want to gain weight, I go to bed between 22 and 23 o clock.

When do spaniards go to bed? I heard they go to bed late too.

Most of Greeks have their dinner at 22-23:00

If I eat dinner at 18:00 surely I could not sleep at night from hunger

the usual time in Spain is from 21:00 to 22:00, but keep in mind that the time zone is very late

loool. In university dormitory there were a couple of spanish girls on my floor and they started cooking and chit chatting after 23:00 when I was trying to sleep (my room was next to the floor's dining room)

Anyway it has been answered, it's because of the time zone differences. So thread can be locked.
