Default People from the Balkans VS Caucasus: Are there more similarities or differences between them?

What do you think? Post pictures of people who can pass both in the Balkans and in the Caucasus according to you.

These two areas which contain many ethnicities and cultures are separated by the Black Sea, and strictly speaking, the Sea of Azov.

I'm asking this because I think that many (or some) people from the Caucasus can pass in the Balkans ( it depends where), and some from the Balkans can pass in the Caucasus, so vice-versa.

Most of my ancestry is from the Balkans and East Europe. By now it's basically confirmed, I have ancestry from the Caucasus too (maybe from Anatolia as well, but most of it is from the Caucasus), but I'm not sure if I can pass there.

Some members said they had always seen the Balkans in me, but no one thought of the Caucasus, before doing a DNA test I wouldn't have thought that some of my ancestors lived there as well.

Thanks for the answer. You also have ancestry from the Caucasus.

Can you post examples? For example, Katie Melua (famous Georgian) can pass as Romanian, Serbian or Moldovan (basically in many countries) in my opinion:

There are many people both from Balkans & Caucasus in Turkey and they look very similar to me.

    Some examples:

Elçin Sangu (Circassian actress from Turkey. can easily pass in Balkans)

Cedi Osman (half Macedonian Turk half Bosniak basketball player from Turkey)

    Meral Akşener (Balkan-Greece- Turk politician)

    Lütfü Türkkan (Balkan Turk politician)

Cem Adrian (Bosniak singer from Turkey)

Mehmet Aslantuğ (Circassian actor from Turkey)

İsmail Hacıoğlu (Turkish actor, half Balkan Turk on his father's side)

    - more differences for sure. Only few people have Caucasus phenotypes in the Balkans.

And among Caucasian only Georgians have decent overlap with the Balkans, the rest don't.

Georgians and Balkanites are the ones with highest similarities. But there is a somewhat good overlap between deep Dinaric regions and North Caucasus.

I think you're right, Georgians look the most similar to other Europeans, en masse.

That's another thing I wanted to mention, Dinarization and the similarities between Armenoids and Dinarids. I'm sure there are good examples.

Although I don't have a Dinaric/Armenoid nose, my sister's nose is somewhat similar. I think she can pass in Georgia.

She's lacking dinarization and/or some CM input for most common Serbian look. Can pass as atypical. She looks rather Romanian to me.
