The Celts are not really an ethnic group, they are a group of populations that have in common a language, which is precisely the Celtic one. This average contains samples from Hallstatt and La Tène sites, but it is always to be taken with a grain of salt due to the poor quality of these samples.

That map is nonsense Blondie, it merely includes all R1b that isn't specifically Germanic (R-U106), nothing to do with Celtic at all, evident by the fact that it supposedly peaks in Basques.

That is what i was going to say, actually there are clear germanic branchs in P312, and clades (of P312) peaking in germanic countries.

According to some retards in this forum, when Iberians claim their European heritage (be it Celt or whatever) they want to be related with Irish/Scottish, Anglos, Germanics or Scandinavians, as if being European equals being Germanic, Scandinavian, Irish/Scott, Anglo or Slavic. They, with their retarded logic, think that people either belong to those groups (and thus "are European") or they are sandniggers. And Spaniards, Italians, Portuguese, Greeks, etc cannot be European because they are not Scott/Irish, German, Anglo, Russian or whatever, and if they claim their celtic heritage is because they want to be linked to those other human groups.

Its very annoying and fucking retarded.

In fact, Spain's influence from Moorish culture is far more recent and probably far greater than it's links to the now extinct language and culture of the Celtiberians.
Source? your ass. There is very little to none Moorish influence in Spanish culture, language or genetics.

I haven't read this thread yet and will look at it later so I'll just post this because it is titled Celts and Enya is a Celt because she is from the Donegal Gaeltacht and Irish is her first language. Also she is using Irish in this.

I haven't read all the thread but of people today with the most Celtic influence it is the Celtic Fringe. I guess the name makes it obvious. This is not a genetic question because I'm flumoxed as regards the genetic side. We don't at present understand how Celtic language spread. Basically the Celts are still a mysterious population so the mystery makes them very fascinating. However today it is the populations of the Celtic Fringe that have preserved the languages and myths of the Celts. The only Continental population left is the Bretons who really are also an Insular Celt population transplanted. The Gauls, Celtiberians, Bavarians etc of course will have Celtic heritage but because of history and invasions that is far back in the past. No population today is fully Celt but if you are speaking of influences it is the Irish, Welsh, Scots and Bretons.

Continental Celtic populations ceased to exist over a 1,000 years ago which is a shame but you can't change history. If you don't know what a Celt is genetically then you have to look at culture and language.
