Florida vs California

Which one is more appealing to you for let's say vacation or tourist visit (or living, whatever you can think of) and why?

I was born in Florida. Having been to California three times, assuming you can afford it, California has more open-minded special interests groups. The people in Florida are kind of vain and into beaches and working out. There is also a sizeable contingent of rednecks.

I made the westcoast roadtrip by car. LA, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Yosemite Park(my fav), Grand Canyon,towns... Great time.

I heard Florida is full of retirees and the temperature is a bit worse than in Cali, it's warmer and also more prone to natural disaster. I would go for Sacramento, San Diego or San Jose.

California has a ton of natural beauty and generally San Francisco would be the best city to visit there. However it has turned into a homeless drug infested chithole. Coming from Europe fly to Miami, much closer. Best place to stay Miami Beach or Ft. Lauderdale on the beach. South Beach has the Art Deco hotels and the clubs, kinda loud and crazy. Better to stay North and take an uber if you want to hit the clubs. The Cruise ships dock right on the southern side of Lauderdale. You can take trip to the Bahamas, or if you prefer a longer trip down to the Caribbean.

Cost of living and income taxes are insane in California.

Depends on individual interests. Sacramento and San Jose not that interesting. San Diego is nice. Best place to stay La Jolla. Miami has to best nightlife by far. Little Havana is also worth spending time in, not too far from Miami Beach/Lauderdale.

I spent almost every summer and some winters in North Florida and also South, and it is a great land, very cool things to do. I like the North most, the swamp, the hurricanes, the calm neighborhood and it´s houses... Very cool memories that i have there.

I will always vote Florida, though i dislike Miami a lot.
