Red haired is no Common in the Germanics.

Who told you that red hair is not common among Germanics? Don't you know that one of the first descriptions of the tribes of Ancient Germania done by Roman historian Tacitus is that they were of a distinct and unmixed race, and all had fierce blue eyes, red hair and huge frames! In which Germanic population of Europe, is this most frequent? The answer is England and South - East Scotland. Another area in the Germanic world which also has a good frequency of red hair is South-West Norway.

This is what the original Germanic people of Germania looked like according to Tacitus.
Example from Southern England (Pale, ruddy skin, very fair with orange hair and dark navy blue eyes (bluest of blues)

The native Britons pre- date the Kelts- they are late Bell Beaker with Germanic admix (mainly). The strongest component of the Celts remained in Centraleuro- Swiss/ France/ Germany / Austria - so ironically we are more Keltic genetically. But we dont know how light/dark the real Kelts were- but very likely not as light as you might think. The language however survided mainly in the British Isles.

I said the first description of the people of Germania was that they had red or reddish, blue or bluish eyes and huge frames and were said to be pure. The Germanic country which has the most red hair is England! Vikings in Eastern Europe were described as red - haired as well (“Rus”). Frankish tribes were also described as reddish - haired people.

The people of Ancient Germania are described as being red - haired, blue - eyed and big body - build. This type of pigmentation outside of the Celtic world is found in England! South - West Norway has a higher frequency of red hair than the rest of Scandinavia and Finland.

Red hair is found in unlikely places, even in the Middle East. You can find it all over Europe.

Red hair is the rarest hair color on earth. About 0.6% of the world has red hair, stop the Middle East jokes. There are plenty of Berbers and Arabs who have blond hair, Australian Aborigines are blond too. What is your point?

The highest frequency of pale white freckled skin, red or blond hair is found in Northern Europe! Regardless of where else it could also be found. This is why, it is safe to associate blonde hair, blue eyes and a fair skin with the people of Denmark, Norway and Sweden for example, and also red hair, green eyes and freckles with the people of Ireland, Scotland and Wales. It does mean not everyone there is so, but the highest frequencies are found in those populations.
