I did not goof it works for all French except for the the South French who are really Spanish. I never claimed it works for Southern Euros. Also, my second model works for Southern French (Spanish) too. France is Western Europe -- Spain is southern Europe. I never said my model works for Southern Euros.

French are quite homogenous (mostly). Southern French are not "Spanish", this is more complex.



A part of the Western South of France has a strong "Central France like" contribution while another part of the South West has a "Basque like" part (but not entirely), a part of the South East has a "North Western French like" and "Central France like"

This is much more complex than "the French from the South are Spaniards", in reality the recent genetic study concerning France showing that this is not the case and that outside the Gascony zone, where there is a strong Basque contribution. like "(but not 100%, you have also a "Central France like" contribution), Languedoc has a strong "Central France like" contribution.

I know that the Anglo-Saxons do not really know France and like to summarize everything in simple sentences ignoring the genetic complexity, but I do not blame them.
