The couple of years I have been on this board the Russians here have been some of the most steady people excluding Leto who is probably bipolar. The rest have been insightful and factual. The Germanics are very insecure and are always dreaming of the day when they will no longer rely on the U.S. for this and the Russians for that. I am sorry but I see the Germanics as being mostly weak people who despise the strong peoples who have kicked their asses and they now rely on these same people for protection and the other natural resources. Finns have about the same attitude. They won most of the battles in their two Soviet wars and still lost those wars. This chaps their asses.

* Finland did not want war
* Finland did not start war
* 200 million people nation vs 5 million people nation?
* Finland was able to stop attacks (I would not call ... they won most of battles.

* Finland has never felt guilty via their own solders or leaders (WWII). Finns loves them and what they did.

* Finns knows (and have known) how all Russians sociates and leaderships have been vs
their own (1917 =>). Finns were even part of one of those.
* Finns (if any in western) knew how Sovjet Union looked at Cold war time. Countries had common projetcs (in Sovjet Union) which Finnish companies did.
* Finns remember well (in practise) what one was able to get via western currencies in Sovjet Union: US$, German D-marks (for some reasons Russians were not as famliar with UK pounds) or Finland's marks. Best was to change Finland's marks to US$ in Finland.
* Finns are well aware how areas (which Russians took from Finland) looked later as those were under of Russians. Same goes with Estonia (and all Baltic countries).
* Finns remember Russian ''tourists'' at the end of 90's as Sovjet Union collapsed. Dirty busses arrived to same empty closed ''gas stations'' and women hold signs like: Pilu 50euros.
* Finns remember period 2000 - 2015 (sometimes still today) then Russians started to arrive shopping into Finland .... one could reciognize Russian (even if you did not hear him/her or see him/her) .... via smell.

So again Finns feels very ''inferior'' against Russians? Hardly in personal levels (one vs one). BUT Russia is a big country/empire and as such it has to be noticed. More like Finns curses their fate ... they exactly needs to be one living so close to it.
