"Historical":
John Adams, probably the only accurate film on this list
The Borgias (showtime), Jeremy Irons can make anything good.
Marco Polo. I found the concept interesting, but there was a lot of odd unrequired sexuality. I am not a Puritan; but I just am not a fan of wanton sexuality in shows or movies. I think it's just a cheap attempt to get the 14-30 year old male audience.

Does standard modern greek sounds like spanish to non-greek speakers?

yes but only castellano bc they have pretty much the same accent. I've spoken spanish to a few spaniards and they're always impressed by how much i sound like a native but it's only bc i use my greek accent when i speak it
