    What he basically wants is for a priest to spy on his parishioners. The priest as your local government Stasi Inoffizieler Mitarbeiter. Leftists will always show their true colours.     I do not think he should be forced to do so. However, if a priest does it willingly because he thinks that according to his moral and religious principles in a certain circumstance it is more important to break his oath (hypothetical scenario where someone confesses to be holding someone hostage for years or planing to commit a mass shooting for example) than to keep it confidential, I don't think he should be condemned by his religious peers for that too.
