Chancellor Hitler's (the Austrian who destroyed Germany) speech 3,5 months after the launch of Operation Barbarossa on Soviet Union, which had started in June 1941.
He tries to justify why he attacked the Soviets despite having a Non-Aggression Pact (Molotov-Ribbentrop). He blames USSR, telling that they were secretly preparing to invade Germany and that the element of surprise was his only asset.

When you listen to his speech, his voice tone lets the careful listener understands that he feels guilt and fear of Stalin after his treachery.
The brave guy would have given 2-day ultimatum, like ''you Soviets have 48 hours to leave Karelian isthmus or I will get you out of there''.
He did not do.


What's more interesting, it is also that you understand he was a low class White Supremacist. The example he uses makes you understand that.
After minute 10 second 30, Hitler compares Soviets to Mongolians, and Stalin to Genghis Khan, and says that Germans are saving Europe from the biggest threat since 13th century.

You must have psychological relief and the feeling to be rightful and good guy.

When you start an operation with apparent guilt feeling (like his insecure voice tone points at) and treachery, that is not good for the future.

He purged Red Army in 1938, eliminating any potential threat for a coup (liquidating all potential traitors to the Soviet cause) and acted with colder blood than the Austrian.
WWII Red Army was a Stalin engineering.

In the end he was the betrayed side who overcame.
