    Default Hungarian members haplogroups

Thread about y and mtdna of people with Hungarian paternal/maternal ancestry

From what I remember (will post only wider hg, because I'm not sure about specific subclades, which you may write and we can discuss them)! :

    R1b Turul Karom, Skif
    R1a Benyzero, Lehel, Dunai
    J2 Fakirbakir, Magical M
    I1 someonetoyou, Stears
    I2 Oszkar, Universe, Gfield
    N1c Mr.G
    E-V13 Chris
    Q-L332 Zoltan

There are more Hungarian members like Imre etc but I don't know their hgs. Or Hungarian master who for whatever reason never uploaded to gedmatch.

You can post/discuss your mtdna too.

    Stears is U5.

Nice thread idea. I was actually thinking that we should open a thread like this.

I am N1b1, most likely either N1b1a6 or N1b1a4 but I need to do further testings. I also want to test my father in the future in order to find out my paternal line's y-dna.

This is what 23&Me says about it:

Your maternal line stems from a branch of N called N1b. All the members of N1b trace their maternal lines back to a woman who lived approximately 20,000 years ago in southwestern Asia, where her descendants remain concentrated today. N1b reaches its highest levels among the Mazandarani of northern Iran and the Georgians of the Caucasus Mountains between the Caspian and Black Seas. It is also detected at lower levels among the Egyptians, Saudi Arabians, Bedouin, and other Middle Eastern populations. It is quite rare in Europe, where it may have spread at the end of the Ice Age when the climate became more hospitable, or later during the introduction and expansion of agriculture to Europe about 7,000 years ago.

We should have more mtDNA results, since there are quite a few female Hungarian members. Mine is H10.

Nice. So far, I've only seen two Turkish members with this mtdna.
