Unemployment has been lower in NZ in comparison to AU nigh on 20 years.
Income is less however our taxes are also lower.
Since the mining boom ended, Australians have been migrating to NZ. Fortunately, educated non-bogans. Yes, this is a thing.

For Zeno, I don't believe you can compare any European cities and lifestyle to those found in Australia and NZ. Both are business friendly nations where if you have a dream, it is made easy to explore it. Youth unemployment is not an issue. These countries are for "can do" people. If you're looking for a job for life like Europe, stay in Europe. People want to progress and enjoy life here. And yes, we love buying shit so consumerism is rampant.
