US Targets China’s Confucius Institute Propaganda

Chinese propaganda has infiltrated schools around the world. But now the Trump Administration is fighting back by banning the Confucius Institute, a Chinese language and culture center set up and paid for by the Chinese Communist Party. India is also doing the same, following the India China Border Fight that threw their relationship into upheaval.

The period between 1839 and 1949 is known in China as the Century of Humiliation. Prior to that era, just as nowadays, China had always been a superpower at least in the context of Asia. Paper, gun powder and many other aspects of human civilization were developed by China.

China seems to have risen again after the century of humiliation from the hands of Europeans and Japanese. The US wants everything back to its former situation, but it is hardly likely from the current point on. China is nothing like Imperial Japan or Soviet Union. It looks like they are there to stay.

The Chinese has perfectly leveraged the past 3 decades, when the US was cutting and raping Muslims in Afghanistan, Iraq etc following the euphoria that followed the fall of Soviet and the victory at the Cold War. China has progressed secretly in many fields, before showing up its capabilities overtly after 2015 (militarization of south china sea etc).

Such bans on Chinese language are pointless.
That won't work.
Pretty much the other way around, when you ban something, people generally tend to show greater interest. Tasting the forbidden is always an attractive thing to do in human mind, by nature. Like Adam with the forbidden Apple.

Taiwan, Singapore , hong kong are a Confucius democracy. ( Hong Kong are dissapearing)

under Confucius the government is the center and head of the family. Mainland Chinese is spreading Confucius with the Communist party/authoritarian party interest in disguise.

I'm indifferent to Chinese propaganda. Why should I care about it ? Western institutions spread tons of propaganda too.
