When shoud I allow my daughter to date?

A couple of years ago at work the issue came up of how old we should allow our daughters to date the damn bastards boys.

One dad said, and I agree, that he would allow his daughter to date a boy only when she turns 36 years old (18 x 2 = 36 ).

I think that 36 is a good age capable to choose a partner and be sure that you made a good decision and not choose someone who is going to ruin your life.

If unfortunately the process has started before the stated age, what would you do to allow her to go out with dirty drug addicts, rebels without cause, political ideas contrary to yours, or professing a different strict religion?
