I think most people (except Greeks maybe) would consider Balkan/Thracian Turks as European. The rest of Turkey doesn't lie in Europe that's why.

Their mindset lies still in Mongolia, they still have the moggols destructive mentality, looting is in their blood. Rule of law, adherence to commonly accepted International rules and norms, fairness and retrospection are alien concepts to them.

Europe, as a continent, remains an unclear concept and is mainly a Human construction. There is no plate tectonic boundary between Europe and Asia. Both Europe and the northern half of Asia belong to the Palearctic biogeographic realm. Europe, Asia and even Africa are part of the same huge landmass covering 3/5 of the Earth.
During Renaissance, Ukraine was not even considered part of Europe, later the boundary between Europe and Asia has always been pushed back further east: first the Dnester, then the Dnieper, the Don, the Volga and finally the Ural (that's why about 5% of Kazakhstan are located in Europe, even though it doesn't make too much sense on an ethnographic level).
As for Cyprus, when I was a child, it was always considered as part of Asia. Now since they've joined the EU, everybody says it's in Europe. Same with Transcaucasia. 30 years ago nobody would have denied it was plain Asian. Now it is often included in Europe.

it is the sum of all that what makes Turks not european at all.What is the criteria to be European?
Phenotype? a good amount of turkish could pass in southern europe, in balkan countries and even some of them in central Europe.
Geography? A portion of the turkish territory is on the european continent.
Religion? some balkan countries are muslim but they are considered Europe.
History? a historical enemy of some European countries? Well most of the european countries have been killing each other during centuries.
Think about this tonight before going bed...Why Turkey is not Europe?...
