It doesn't matter if there was more or less. Indentured servants had contracts and were legally owed compensation for their work and not legally regarded as slaves. Slavery in the U.S was regulated by law.

The point I'm repeatedly making is that the Irish were never seen as non-white not that there wasn't discrimination. Empirus is insisting that they were seen as non-white. What about your family? You as someone of Irish descent should know from your family history.

It's all shit that happened a long time ago so it's water under the bridge at this point. Irish didn't have many issues in America post-1950s, maybe earlier.

You don't know what you are talking about. There were Irish slaves they just went by the name indentured servant. There have been Irish slaves since viking times why do you think there are Gaelic genetics, to a small degree, way up in Iceland genius ?

Irish also took slaves themselves as can be seen in St Patrick's story. Irish and Scottish genetics are not to a small degree in Iceland they are at least 30% and used to be more and yes it wasn't just the Irish but Scots also and mostly women. Some of the Vikings themselves were mixed Norse-Gael already.

There were just as much indentured servants from Scot, English and even Germans, Dutch etc and no they weren't slaves even though it was a very hard life and many didn't survive.

There were far more English and Scots. The vast amount of Irish didn't arrive in the US until Famine and post-Famine.

Typically, the father of a teenager would sign the legal papers, and work out an arrangement with a ship captain, who would not charge the father any money.[20] The captain would transport the indentured servants to the American colonies, and sell their legal papers to someone who needed workers. At the end of the indenture, the young person was given a new suit of clothes and was free to leave. Many immediately set out to begin their own farms, while others used their newly acquired skills to pursue a trade.[21][22][23] A few became sufficiently prosperous that they were eventually able to acquire indentured servants of their own.
