In a broad sense, yes. In multiracial places people called me white to the date, and with skin type II another race option would be funny for me. I have two motives for this. Firstly, Turks were accepted to Australia under strict "white Australia" law* and secondly from genetical and antropological perspectives my race is "Predominantly Europoid" or "Europo-Mongoloid" so closer to europeans than any other racial group in the world.
I've heard some stories about some Turks called as poc in the west, but due to my physical traits i've never been in such situation. In an extreme "white" country like Norway, people asked me about being Polish, Russian, etc...
* see wikipedia: On 5 October 1967, the governments of Australia and Turkey signed an agreement to allow Turkish citizens to immigrate to Australia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkish_Australians
