PS: I’m talking historically that situation might have changed at this stage.
It seems that in certain societies there’s an effort to regulate sexual behavior. Historically these societies have been successful at doing this. It seems Catholic societies are those which have.
For instance, a few years ago I stayed in Lima for the summer. I met this girl who worked at a massage parlor. After we had sex, she was telling me about her life. She told me she had chosen the, “whore path.” She would exhibit many of the traits that American girls do. She would wear highly revealing clothing in public, she would curse and swear, she would go to clubs and have sex with strange men, she would get paid for sex or sexual favors, she would live with roommates. Or she would live alone. She had tried lesbianism. She had no contacts with her family. She was single and it was hard for her to have a long term relationship. Meanwhile, my cousin had friends who came from a much more conservative background. She had chosen the, “Madonna path. ”She lived with her parents and had a long term boyfriend from their social circle.
The same can be said about Japan. I recently met a American friend who went to Japan and he said everything was much more regulated. For instance, through an agency he went on a sugar date. He said most of the girls who were doing this had chosen that “whore lifestyle.” The same girl would be involved in working on sex karaokes, massage places or even shooting adult videos. However, there were also much more conservative girls who were not wearing revealing clothes and dedicated most of their lives to their studies.
In contrast, in America and the West I have noticed the opposite thread. It seems that here every girl wants to be a whore and later a madonna. I notice the girls will wear highly revealing clothing, hook up with strange men, swear/curse, get paid for dates..etc. A friend told me they were living the "Sex and the City" lifestyle.
