Seems like the Y-DNA distribution is Moldova is fairly similar to Romania, is that correct?

No, it's quite different actually, especially in the distribution of R1b, R1a, but most noticeably J2.

Ehhh, no more than a 10% difference on any given haplogroup

You should look at the percentage change, instead of simply subtracting one from another.
    5% to 15% J2 is a big difference. That's the same as 20% to 60%.

The R1a vs R1b difference is interesting. It almost mirrors Romanians affinity for western European culture vs Molodova

Yeah, you won't get around the khokhol influence in the Republic of Moldova looking at the national average.

Probably not related at all to Ukrainians, considering that the samples from Stefan Voda have the highest share of R1a. And we know that people from there are the most Southern in Moldova, comparable to Wallachians.

Dude, don't counter-signal the East Slavs, you are literally 1/4 Ukrainian yourself and in your own words Moldovans are basically Slavs speaking a non-Slavic language.

Yes, I did notice Stefan Voda, fair enough. But it's Slavic Y DNA anyway, no point denying it.

Don't get me wrong, most of R1a and like 95-98% of I2a comes from the Slavs, but those trace to the early middle ages. I doubt more than a handful of people in that village where the samples were collected mixed with Slavs in the last 100-200 years. So in that regard they are as related to Ukrainians as Punjabis are.
