Default Should EU tax Google, Facebook...

I want to read you opinions about US sanctions against European, Chinese and Russian companies and research. I have started to see most sanctions as a part of
a dishonest way to hamper international economic competition. If this is simply the matter, EU should take the step that has already been in discussion and start to tax US global net companies, like Google and Facebook. These companies draw every year billions dollars from Europe and pay taxes only in USA. All other services and goods are highly taxed in Europe, despite of the origin. We have also tax havens inside EU serving tax avoidance to US companies.

Tax them heavily, I say ! Even more so because they influence politics here though censorship so I am all for punishing them.

They should be paying all taxes, including local GST/VAT that apply to the services provided for local services, advertising etc. And in every nation they operate within. If they don't want to pay taxes in a particular nation, they remove all advertising and services then provide the service for free.

And to be clear, not just the EU. Every nation.
Nine out of ten concerns are completely unfounded.

We have also another issue with USA calling for solution, the common defence. Nato is ok, but for example Germany is quite reluctant to increase investments to the defence for known reasons. Without own defence forces Europe can't calm possible hot spots in Europe and neighbouring area. For instance in Ukraine. Now we will see what happens in Belarussia. We need European plans and solutions. Nato is out of all this kind of incidents, because USA and Russia are not capable to solve anything without sending nukes.

Only if vice versa, if they wouldn't sanction us, I wouldn't tax them heavilly since they provide many work places.

This is true, but the taxation should be unbiased. If someone founds a competitor in your country the taxation should be same as in case of Google.

The nations normal business tax rates should apply. Not a punitory tax.

Yes, it should be consistent. Corporate Income Tax Rates in Europe is 9-35%. But things are complex, there are ways to avoid it, as well as dividend taxes in international corporations, for instance using in-house billing.
