France does not care for Greece and they would not enter into a conflict for Orthodox Greeks whom they consider as an eastern, an inferior heretic form of Christian culture. They view Greeks as a lesser people, racially inferior, lazy and corrupt by nature.
France feels threatened by Turkey's aspirations in Maghrebi region, Levant and Africa.
Turkey settling Western Libya, at the border of Tunisia and Algeria, is perceived as a threat in Paris. French are afraid that Turkey will try to uproot French cultural and economic influences in those regions, and then throughout Western Africa.
Unlike in English African colonies having Protestant population majority (Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Zambia etc), French African colonies have Muslim majorities, such as Niger, Mali, Senegal, etc.
That's France's weak point to have failed to make natives Catholic.
It is why France comes to East Med and takes measures to block and contain Turkey right there.
Other news come from Libya.
Alarming for Turkey.
Western Libyan government of GNA, led by Sarraj, fired its pro-Turkey interior minister yesterday. It might be that France convinced Italy and then GNA, to take anti-Turkey steps.
Turks might need to find a solution to this Catholic interference.
That solution can also be peaceful settlement with France. Turks and French might sit and negotiate a fair division of those regions.
Ex. France stops its support to Greece, Turkey in turn promises to back Catholic Maronite Lebanese against Hezbollah and Israel.

Turkish violations of the territorial waters of Greece and Cyprus are “completely unacceptable” and Europe needs to “leave the age of innocence behind and shape its own destiny,” French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian was quoted as saying on Monday.
Europe, he told a meeting in Paris that was also attended by his German counterpart Heiko Maas, has a duty to “respond collectively” when one of its members is facing a policy that is “aggressive and unjustified” and poses a “threat against the Union’s sovereignty and interests."

Greece has 3.000 islands in the Aegean.
If Turks start pitilessly targeting the civilians, Greek healthcare infrastructure is not sufficient to even take care of the wounded. Let aside taking care of the wounded, who would agonize and bleed to death, Greeks would not even be able to collect corpses around. It is for sure that Greeks would not want to see their people enduring such a fate.
There is something ''Mongol'' about Turks you know, they have the ruthlessness and cold blood to do that, should the events force them to do so.
Consequently, Greeks must be intelligent and not become tools in the hands of Catholic imperialists who would throw them into fire for their own interests.

You have to be quite ignorant if you believe France supports Greece for the sake of empathy and solidarity.
As my history teacher used to tell me : "a country doesn't have friends but only interests"

That's hypothetic event. None wishes that happens. However, Greece's ''Achilles Tendon'' is that problematic spread of her population upon thousands of islands, without proper Navy forces nor Health infrastructure to enforce the security of those people.
Thus, it would be wise Greek policy makers to calculate all those points before starting a crazy journey and being boasted by Papacy and France.
